I am the plant parent of a 6-8 year old, solid trunk, 2 branch fiddle leaf fig that I repotted for the 2nd time about 3 weeks ago. I probably damaged some roots during the repot as the tree developed big brown spots on the leaves of one branch. I decided to chop that branch. Really CHOP it. I ordered fiddle leaf fig treats for the first time before chopping, followed the directions for fertilizing, used the mixture to moisten the end of the chopped branch, and lo and behold, the chopped branch now has a bunch of new leaves, looks like 2-3 new branches, the other branch also has new growth and leaves now a beautiful deep glossy green.
